Guides

Written slowly.
Coming soon.

Three guides are on the way — Prince William Sound, Kachemak Bay, and Snug Harbor — written slowly, from my own trips, with a devotional bent. Until they're ready, the stories live in the journal.

01

Kachemak Bay

Alaska, USA

Kachemak Bay

Low tides, bald eagles, and fireweed summers across from Homer.

Minus tides that redraw the map twice a day, eagles working the coves, and Hesketh Island summers. A guide is in the works — the stories are already in the journal.

Prince William Sound

Alaska, USA

Prince William Sound

Glacier water, quiet coves, and squid under the boat lights.

Fjords, waterfalls, and coves you can learn one anchorage at a time. A guide is in the works — for now, the stories from the Sound live in the journal.

03

Tuxedni Bay

Alaska, USA

Tuxedni Bay

Brown bears, bald eagles, and an off-grid outpost on Chisik Island.

Home of Snug Harbor — a salmon cannery from 1919 to 1980, now an off-grid outpost across Cook Inlet — with fossils on the point and brown bears on the flats. A guide is in the works.

One letter, when something's worth sharing.

A new reflection, thoughts on what I'm reading, meaningful quotes, and glimpses of Alaska life.
