A bald eagle takes flight from its perch and soars over the waters in front of our house. Bald eagles are a prominent feature of the Alaskan landscape, particularly along the southern coastline, where the combination of dense forests and nutrient-rich waters provides an ideal habitat. In this clip, the eagle’s powerful wingspan and distinctive white head are clearly visible as it glides effortlessly above the sea.

Bald eagles are opportunistic feeders and are often seen patrolling the shoreline for fish or other small prey.
