Natural audio and unedited view from the bluff

I wanted to share a raw, unedited moment from my favorite spot on the bluff. This video captures the true essence of a summer evening in Alaska, where the only sounds are the rhythmic lapping of calm waves against the shore and the occasional breeze through the trees. Looking out over the Cook Inlet, you can see a large bulk tanker navigating the calm waters, while the sun sets behind the distant, jagged peaks of the Alaska Range.

The light during these long summer days is incredible, casting a warm, golden glow across the water that seems to last for hours. From this vantage point, the scale of the inlet and the surrounding wilderness is truly humbling. It’s a place where I come to clear my head and just listen to the natural world. This kind of “natural audio” is a constant in my life here, and I find that it provides a sense of peace that you just can’t often find in the city. Whether the tide is in or out, the view from the bluff always offers something new to appreciate.
